Minimalist Makeup Trends – Not too long ago, it seemed like every makeup look in our feeds was featured over the top false lashes and blocky, heavily filled-in brows. But these days, a more natural-looking aesthetic has replaced the glamorous face, and no-makeup makeup is becoming the go-to style this season. If you’re ready to let your natural beauty shine like us, try these tricks to create a minimalist beauty look that brings out your best features.

While a few seasons ago fantastic, larger-than-life lashes ruled, now real, fluffy, reachable lashes are the focal point of the no-makeup look. Forget about applying false eyelashes every morning or about extensions every few weeks. All you need for a naturally beautiful look is an eyelash strengthening conditioner and the right mascara.

Eyebrows are everywhere in their natural period. We’re ditching heavy, angular brows in favor of a softer, featherier vibe. Healthy-looking brows are key to this look, which means applying a brow serum daily is a must…and the formula you choose is important. There are many eyebrow serums on the market, but

Our RevitaBrow® Advanced is a 10-time Allure Best of Beauty Award winner. This doctor-developed formula addresses the visible signs of brow aging to deliver healthier, fuller brows that are ideal for creating a feathered look.

Finish your brows in just a few strokes with our Hi-Def Brow Gel, which contains regenerating ingredients to care for your brows while you shape them. Start with hairs upwards to create a full, fluffy effect.

A fresh, powder-free complexion is key to achieving a no-makeup look, so move your full-coverage matte formulas to the back of the shelf. Instead, even out your skin tone with a light tinted moisturizer or use a strategically placed concealer to minimize imperfections and leave the rest of your skin bare. Use your fingers instead of a brush to apply makeup; this will allow the products to blend with your skin, leaving a more natural finish.

When it comes to eyeshadow, eyeshadow, blush and bronzer, cream formulas blend seamlessly and look more natural than powder. To set your makeup and improve its durability, finish your look with a setting spray instead of powder.

Finish your minimalist makeup look with a tinted lip balm or stain that gives a gentle kiss of color. Not only do these products look more natural than full-color lipsticks, they require less maintenance and can be reapplied without a mirror. What could be more perfect for summer?

Wedding Makeup Trends 2024

Summer is in full swing, which means we’re all for a tan, great makeup (sans sun damage) that requires minimal effort. And as it turns out, it is completely possible with a little bronzer, a lot of mascara and the right technique. We turned to makeup artist Sophia Vallejos for her six-product summer face, and she didn’t disappoint. Ahead, discover her steps for the perfect glowing, bronzed makeup look.

Any glowing, bronzed makeup look will start with a cream bronzer that will add contour and make cheekbones pop. Vallejos recommends starting by warming the product in the palm of your hand, then using a rounded buffing brush to apply the product to the tops of your cheekbones. “Then work the product up from your cheekbones all the way to your hairline,” she says. “Use a light touch—I’m not going to go back and forth with the brush. Instead, I use a gentle tap, which will give you a nice, smooth application.” Repeat along the jawline for a more sculpted look or skip this step for a softer look.

Fluffy, voluminous lashes are the key to pulling together any makeup look, and Vallejos’ favorite trick for achieving the fullest lashes ever is Lancôme Le 8 Hypnôse Mascara. “Not only do I love this mascara because it gives you the best black pigment, but it also gives you buildable volume without clumping,” she says. The formula is also infused with lash serum for healthier lashes

You wear it. Start by curling your lashes with your curler of choice, then apply mascara using the wiggle and pull technique (wiggle the applicator at the base of your lashes, then pull straight up). According to Vallejos, this technique helps lift lashes at the root for more dramatic volume without clumps.

Hacks For Achieving The “no Makeup” Makeup Look

“I like to use a fluffy brush to apply my concealer,” says Vallejos. “We want it to look really nice and natural, and the fluffier the brush, the lighter the coverage.” To create a natural finish that lets your lashes stand out, Vallejos recommends the following technique: Using your fluffy concealer brush, apply concealer to three small, dime-sized spots under your eyes: the inner corner, just below the pupil, and the outer corner. Then tap and massage the product into the skin, bringing the product to the eyelids and under the eyebrow. Finally, for the most blurred effect, use a makeup sponge or the pad of your ring finger to remove any excess product that wasn’t absorbed by the brush.

While bronzer and concealer create structure, they can also wash you out, so Vallejos recommends adding a natural blush to your favorite cream blush: “You want to apply your blush on the apples of your cheeks and at the height of your cheekbones, right above the contour and contouring we did in the previous step. ” Dip the brush—it can be the same one you used for contouring—into your cream blush and make a few circular motions with your palm to remove excess product (an oversaturated brush can make blush look a bit clownish). Then gently pat the product into your cheeks.

For highlighter, Vallejos recommends using a brush that’s smaller than the one you use for bronzer and blush. This way you can overlap your blush and highlighter very slightly without completely covering the makeup you applied in the previous steps. “Use light, circular motions with the brush to hit the top of the cheekbones,” she says. “Then gently apply it under the eyes and around the eyebrows.”

Using a bronzer powder, it’s time to add depth to your eyes to make your lashes stand out even more. Using a fluffy, rounded brush, Vallejos recommends applying bronzer

What Is The Viral ‘no Makeup’ Trend?—and How To Get The Look

Lightly over the eyelids and eyebrows, making sure that the product does not get into the eyebrows. “Then, starting at the outer corner of the eye, apply bronzer right along the lower lash line,” she says. “I use a sweeping motion, but if you have very sensitive eyes, you can absolutely use a tapping motion. Follow up with a touch of shimmer on the upper lid (just above the pupil) and another coat of mascara, using the tip of the wand to line the outer lashes for a natural cat-eye effect. Optionally, you can also use the tip of the wand to add mascara to the lower lashes, if that’s to your liking.” We have been independently researching and testing products for over 120 years.
