How To Style A Blazer – My blazer collection consists of so many brands and fabrics and cuts that I love. If I want to put myself together without much thought, I reach for one of my well-proven outfit formulas, which is styling a loose blazer.

I don’t work in an office, but that has never stopped me from reaching for blazers that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Wearing a loose blazer is one of my best uniforms, and today I’m sharing some examples of outfits where I’ve worn mine more casually.

Fit and fabric are the two things I consider most when looking at casual wear. Anything that’s too fancy material or too structured won’t be as easy to pull off.

For some guidance on how to make blazers work for everyday, here are our favorite ways to wear a blazer for everyday.

A linen blend or lightweight cotton is a simpler option for blazers, which are often made from wool or tweed. These lightweight materials make the blazer easy to access in warmer weather.

Can the blazer be worn with jeans? Naturally! I’m always a fan of blazers with jeans, and sneakers are an easy way to take your blazers in a more casual direction.

You can wear your blazers with distressed jeans and sneakers for a street style vibe, or wear clean, tailored straight leg jeans with ballet flats.

Bringing your white jeans with you is a great way to transition into fall. I love monochromatic looks and a camel blazer paired with white jeans and a white tie is an elevated look that doesn’t require much effort.

This fall, I especially choose ecru or off-white denim shades. I will pair them with ivory sweaters and blazers in lighter toned neutrals.

Blazers instantly look more casual when unbuttoned and rolled up. To master this style, check out this reel made by my friend Liz.

Or you can buy a style that has the sleeves already pinched in, like this chic one I’m wearing above.

Add a cool off-duty vibe to your outfit by accessorizing your blazer with a bowler hat like the one above.

I love how blazers always look cool when paired with shoes. This pair is extremely affordable, but for a higher skin type, you can try these. Of course, Converse is also the best off duty shoe.

I love pairing hoodies with my favorite blazers in the fall and winter. It’s a simple, off-duty style that can add warmth but also texture to an outfit. Be sure to choose a style that isn’t too bulky so it doesn’t add too much weight to your frame.

An ankle boot made from a casual material like suede goes well with warm, fall-toned plaid blazers. For a more seasonal look, try adding a darker wash denim.

Pair a blazer with jeans and a striped t-shirt for a preppy, elevated style inspired by French girls.

I picked up this blazer a few weeks ago on a HUGE discount and knew it would be a perfect fit for my workwear wardrobe. After playing, I finally figured out how to best wear it, so I thought I’d share some tips on how to style a long blazer.

Business Casual Workwear Outfits With A Camel Blazer

I really like this blazer because one, it was on super sale and it’s no surprise that I love a good sale, and on the other hand, the material is really good quality and perfect for those really cold winter days at work.

It’s a black and white checked tweed with tiny pink accents. I decided to go for a fairly simple look and paired this blazer with a black lightweight sweater, but you could go with a white and striped tee or even a light pink blouse.

I considered pairing this blazer and sweater combo with black jeans, but I opted for traditional jeans instead, giving the look a bit more dynamism.

Since this blazer is more oversized, I wanted the sweater and jeans to be tailored, so I opted for a fitted sweater and skinny jeans to keep my shape.

How To Wear Cropped Blazer

For shoes, I chose a simple pair of black closed toe heels to really elongate my legs and contrast the bulk of the blazer.

Finally, I topped off the look with this Kate Spade crossbody bag. This bag pulls all looks together, from simple office wear to cool girly style.

This look would look killer in the office, but would transition really well for drinks at happy hour.
