Fashionable Workout Gear For Women

Fashionable Workout Gear For Women – I will be honest. The concept of exercise is still lost on me. Or rather, the concept of a workout where you go from the gym to cocktails or brunch is lost on me. You really expect me to wear my sweaty gym clothes to dinner? Hell no. I want to be clean, and I want to look nice, and I don’t care how nice these leggings are… If I sweat in them, they won’t go to dinner. Anyone else feel this way? The fun part – I get it. I work from home and often hang out in my workout leggings all day (before going to the gym).

For this reason, until recently, I haven’t really invested in my gym wardrobe. Everything came from Old Navy. It was beautiful and functional and very affordable, so why not?

Then I got a trainer. And started working out like really, really hard in the gym. I got arm muscles. Small, but still.. muscles. And I kind of want to look like a badass when I go to the gym. So I started looking around for good workout gear. And I realized that most of them can actually be worn for brunch (clean of course). There is a lot of great gym gear out there that is worth investing in. And so I’m slowly building a small gym closet.

Where To Find Inexpensive Workout Gear

Here are a few favorites but if you buy one it has to be the ADAY leggings. I love them… hopelessly. They are very comfortable and have a pocket on the side for your phone. I like them better than my regular (non-gym) leggings. I also really like these sparkly capris, but ADAY where are they! (They sell out constantly, so just be prepared to wait a bit.)

ADAY Tank // Tata Harper Suiting Muscle Gel // Aloe Yoga Moto Leggings // Yogasmoga Mesh Tee (I own this and will wear it too) // Agent Nature Deodorant (my FAV – read my full review here) // Nike Sports Bra // Nike Sports Bra // Coral Green Cropped Leggings // Splits 59 Eco Tank // Sparkly Sole Headband // Nike Free Sneakers // Splits 59 Mesh Tank // ADAY Leggings // Well Water Bottle // Nike Hoodie // Some incredibly busy hair tie readers emailed me asking if I was investigating some affordable fitness fashion options. At first, this seems like a tough question, because the price points of everything we see in fashion in the fitness world seem eye-wateringly expensive. They become these delightful objects of desire in our mind’s eye, like little gods in their own right! However, I think this should not be the case. A deep look on the internet, where something is always on sale *somewhere*, is the best way to steal a deal, but failing that, you might look in less obvious places…

This post features some amazingly affordable workout kit from high street brand, Bruschka, to meet just such a brief… I found the clothes on an aimless stroll down Oxford Street and made a trip to the store to see what they’ve got. have done Used for blog purposes; I was a little surprised to see the complete fitness collection! From the options, I picked a neoprene sweatshirt (£29.99), a racerback sports t-shirt (£14.99), ‘waistband detail’ sports leggings (£19.99), and a mesh sports bag (£29.99). I paired them with a new pair of shoes, Adidas Boosts, which were much cheaper than mine and felt impossibly springy underfoot, as if they were more than just recycling my wasted energy. What does, but an injection. Extra Power Shot! An entire Brashka outfit will set you back five change from £100, which is less than some gym t-shirts I’ve seen in sports departments!

In the coming months, I’ll be looking for even more cute and affordable fitness fashion to continue to prove that it’s possible to work out in style without breaking the bank! Think Gap, Zara, Primark and others. Full photos from the photoshoot in the link below, and more talent to follow 🙂 Faya xI DO know that loose fitting workout clothes are not for everyone. The top of the first part of this post isn’t ideal if you’re doing one-legged opposites in yoga—and your soft top is collapsing in front of you, making it difficult to breathe, and then you exhale, and you causes A great scene, and it ends up being quite embarrassing – all because of a fashion choice. And very thick, loose-fitting sweatpants are definitely not suitable for a spin class, where you can easily create a large pool of sweat under your bike, and they may end up asking for maintenance to get a big yellow next to you. Display a caution sign. Bike as a safety measure for other snipers, and again, this will only end in a very embarrassing moment.

Passion For Fashion Or Passion For Fitness?

If you’re like me, however, and do things like go outside, take Zumba or dance exercise classes, or occasionally get on the elliptical machine… workout clothes are usually fine. And for some of us, they can make us feel more comfortable and more ourselves (which is always a good thing in my book). I say, good for all of us to get out and move our bodies, whatever our workout clothes preferences are! For you loose fitting ladies out there, I’ve tried to find the following styles that pair well with the loose fitting tops I mentioned in Part 1. Here are some comments, and some other results, from my test session:

Working out in regular weight sweatpants can be miserable for some. This is where the “Lightweight with Drip” sweatpants enter the solution. The drape on the fabric not only makes these pants very comfortable (for sweatpants), but the material is also breathable and lightweight. When I exercise in the bottom two, I don’t get as hot and sweaty as I do in my legs. The Gap joggers on the right are very light weight and have a lot of movement. I actually wore it to a salsa night with my dancing heels (so cute!) and a black tank, felt so stylish, and still comfortable. The Athleta Bare Cinch Pants on the right are my workhorses. Made from stretchy material, they’re wide and comfortable, and I love that they’re not skin-tight. My experience with this Zilla material and the Athleta material has also been good for not overheating.

These are your typical joggers. Fitted, heavier than drapey, but still comfortable and not skin tight. I really like both below. The Amazon joggers on the left were only $29 and fit well. They weren’t as smooth or quality-feeling as the Zilla, but for $29, they’re pretty good. I overheat easily, but I didn’t overheat in this one. Maybe because it’s winter and our dance studio is a little cold, but they’re good for my normal workout. Zilla is great. I love the zipper pockets, they are so soft, and they feel like they are well made and durable. You can see in the picture, I think they are a little better with me.

I love this group of pants. Sometimes you just need a little oomph when motivated to exercise. These free people fit me a little looser than they should (for sweatpants), but they are comfortable and very cute. They also come with regular gold or rose gold side detailing. These aren’t regular sweaty sensations, but they certainly aren’t “exercise” stuff. If you do a lot of vigorous exercise, they’d be better for lounge pants…I’d wear them to dance, though, and be fine. Alert: They are 40% off right now!!

Summer Fitness Fashion With Kohl’s!

I liked this sporty look more than I thought. The pants are heavier than what I’d normally wear for indoor workouts, but they’re made from Athleta’s signature breathable and stretchy fabric, so I’ll definitely wear them to dance classes in the winter. Plus, or as a cute top to wear for outdoor workouts. Layered over leggings or bike shorts.

The Atleta snap pants below were too big and too long. I needed to size down and get petite, but they felt amazing. If you click through to see them on Athleta’s website, you can see that they look great when they’re good. I especially liked the lightweight material and the pictures that could be opened or closed.

Hahahahaha! How adorable are these!!! I’m super into the Anthropologie and Free People workout lines right now. I have to be honest – I would probably wear the bottoms to the lounge or “around town”, but I could wear them to dance class…especially in the winter. The ones I tried on are from Anthropologie, but most of the free ones are made with breathable material to get less sweat.

Many thanks to them
