Eyeliner Hacks For Beginners – Hi to all! Applying a nice and neat winged eyeliner look can be overwhelming at times, especially for makeup beginners. There are many step-by-step makeup tutorials with detailed instructions that teach us easy ways to do winged eyeliner. For example, recently, a bobby pin eyeliner hack went viral on Instagram and Facebook. That’s why today I want to try this eyeliner to trick myself and find out if it really works.
1. All you need to apply eyeliner with the help of a poppy pin is a liquid or cream eyeliner and a bobby pin. If your pin is flat on the end, try bending the ends towards each other, creating a larger angle.

2. Start by applying your makeup — fill in your brows, prime the eyelids, and apply eyeshadow. Skip mascara and false eyelashes, it’s better to finish this step after eyeliner.

3. Apply a little liquid or cream eyeliner to the tip of your bobby pin, this trick will also work with a highly pigmented eyeshadow and even eye kohl.
4. Lightly place a bobby pin on the outer corner of your eye, the line should be towards the general direction of the tip of your eyebrow. The straight side of a pin goes on the lower lash line and the angled side on the upper lash line.
5. Finish the winged eyeliner makeup by filling in the triangle. Use black eye kohl to fill in the gaps between the lashes and to line the waterline.
That’s how you make winged eyeliner makeup with the help of a bobby pin. I love how this trick works, the finished look is smooth and beautiful. If you mess up the process you can always clean up the lines with the help of a concealer. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve tried a bobby pin eyeliner hack yourself or maybe you have better eyeliner tips. We would like to suggest reacquainting yourself with liquid eyeliner . An essential step in most eye makeup routines, liquid eyeliner helps define the eyes and gives the appearance of fuller lashes. If you love the idea of liquid eyeliner but black might seem too harsh for your everyday look, try our Black Magic: Cocoa Edit Liquid Eyeliner. A warm brown eyeliner, the calligraphy-inspired nib is easy to use allowing you to define the intensity of your look. The good news? Our iconic eyeliner range has something for everyone.
Whether you’re a complete liquid eyeliner rookie or a little rusty over the past year, these tips are sure to get you on track to winged, liquid eyeliner perfection.
We already know that the eye area is one of the most sensitive on your body, so while it’s important to touch the skin firmly, make sure you do it gently. Gently touch the outer corner of your eyelid with fingers for complete application control. It’s easier to draw liner on a larger, smoother surface than on a smaller area.
For true liquid eyeliner beginners, the dot-to-dot method will be especially helpful. Using your liquid eyeliner nib, dot along your lashes then simply connect the dots by drawing a line in between. This allows you to focus on creating a smaller line while keeping longer stretches of liner perfectly straight.
Best Eyeliner Tips From Makeup Artists
Most of the time we put on our makeup while hunched over in front of the bathroom mirror, quickly going through our routine without much thought (or balance!). This simple tip is a liquid liner no-brainer: prep on a flat surface. Rest your elbow on a desk or table and tilt your head back slightly for a full view of your lash line, then go to tracing. When you remove the added balance factor, you will have no problem tracking a straighter line than usual.
Often recommended by professional makeup artists, this tip is usually paired with the suggestion to always start with your more challenging eye. Simply use the nib of your eyeliner to draw the tip of your wing (or the outermost point of your eyeliner), then trace the line towards the inner corner of the eye, narrowing as you go.
A real no-brainer for anyone reacquainting themselves with liquid eyeliner, eye makeup remover is a stand-by essential. As with anything, practice makes perfect – and in the meantime eye makeup remover is a quick fix for liquid liner disasters.

Okay, I’m going to be honest up front: I want to tell you some kind of amazing story about how, after years of stabbing my eye with a liquid liner marker,
Mastered winged eyeliner or something. I want to write something about the triumphant moment where I touched the liner above, a tear rolled down my suddenly beautiful eye line. In the soft morning light that pours into my vanity, I will write about my success, my trials and tribulations, the beautiful realization that
Unfortunately (fortunately?), I can’t. I’m no Kevin Aucoin, but, thanks to my early love of all things liquid liner, I got the hang of it pretty quickly (don’t ask me about foundation, because I’m still rubbish at applying that without looks like a striped mannequin). Because of this, I’ve generally avoided most of the eyeliner “hacks” and “pro tips” that have been popping up on the internet over the past few years, but recently, in an effort to help you, my dear reader, decided to try a few to see if there is any truth behind the artistically laid Pin. Did any of this help? A perfect cat eye in your foreseeable future?

We’ve all seen eyeliner tutorials where people use tape to make sure the outer edge is clean, but there’s the occasional one where someone just tapes their entire lid. I can attest that just putting a line of tape diagonally on the outside of your eye can help you get a crisp line, but what about those weird tutorials where someone does it all over the lid? I understand that people want their eyeliner to be as straight and sharp as possible, but I wanted to see if taping on my entire eye would really work, or if I’d just end up with an ultra-wonky triangle (possibly a trapezoid ) shape. scribbled on my face.
First, some tutorials forget to mention this, but first put the tape on your arm or shirt or something to remove some of the stickiness, you might slip and rip off a patch of skin or something. Then you just fill in the thin and
Verdict: While straightening the outer edge with tape is pretty easy, trying to actually tape everything else is the worst. My eyes felt so weird and it barely worked. This DIY eyeliner stencil just made me look weird and blobby. Score: 2/5
One of the downsides of my favorite liquid liner (MAC LiquidLast, the most bulletproof of all liners, all hail MAC LiquidLast) is that it tends to get caught at the base of my lash line, meaning I can occasionally have a super. lash in the middle of my eye if I’m not careful. Apparently, cutting a piece of card (business card, scrap of a birthday card from someone you don’t like, etc.) in the shape of your lash and holding it to your lashes while you draw can prevent this.

Verdict: The upside is that it actually kept my lashes from getting goopy. The downside is that I find it harder to really properly draw the line on my eyes as it pulls the whole lid down, meaning I end up with a thicker line. Maybe it will become more useful in practice, but for now, I only give it a 2.5/5. Might try again, but unlikely.
There’s a reason why I wear lipstick most mornings, and that’s because I’m usually in a rush to attempt liner. Without fail, whenever I try to apply liquid liner with one eye on the clock, I always end up looking like a Gaspard Yurkievich fashion show turned down. Many outlets say that, instead of trying to remove blemishes with makeup remover, you should use a little concealer to hide the offending smear. I understand, because
