My skincare products consist mainly of anything recommended by my favorite “skin influencers” Caroline Hirons, Tiara Willis, and Hyram Yarbo. Like many of us, I love everything about K-Beauty, from the packaging to the ingredients to the results, but I’d never actually tried any of the products.
With so many products available, it can all feel a little overwhelming and sometimes it can be unclear where to start. After a few hours of research, I decided to purchase $200 worth of K-Beauty products from Beauty & Seoul. “Customers are becoming more knowledgeable about formulations and ingredients, which is a big focus in South Korean skin care products. I then had the chance to participate in a Zoom skincare consultation with celebrity esthetician, Korean beautician, and founder of Peach & Lily, Alicia Yoon. Even though it was virtual, we covered all the same elements of a face-to-face meeting. Yoon started by asking me questions about my skin type and current routine. I let her know that I wanted my skin to look less dull and brighter.
After our consultation, Yoon compiled a list of Peach & Lily products that would help me achieve my skin goals. “Your current skincare routine is in a good place, but what I recommend is focused more on providing extra hydration, nourishment, and a little more than radiance boosters so you can experience that glassy skin glow from the inside I’m looking for,” she said.

She also noted that various ingredients and moisturizers would work together to get the glow I was looking for. “Only thin layers of each product are needed. But see how your skin feels and apply these products in denser layers if more layers are desired,” she says.
I decided to mix a few of my Beauty & Seoul products with a few products that Yoon recommended. Below, I’ve documented my honest thoughts on how the products have worked on my skin over the past month.
Description: This cleanser was recommended to me by Yoon and is the first step in double cleansing to remove oil-based makeup, SPF, and other impurities. Recommended for dry, oily and normal skin types. As for why he recommends it, Yoon said: “It’s super moisturizing and doesn’t dry out the skin.” He recommended applying it to dry skin, massaging it, and rinsing it off with warm water.
My thoughts: I have used this cleanser a few times in the last month. I totally agree that it is ideal for removing oil-based makeup, SPF, and other impurities as my makeup glides on like butter. I tried it once or twice when I didn’t have anything heavy left on my face, and I didn’t find the results to be as moisturizing as when I removed heavy makeup. Overall, I really love this cleanser as it is packed with some of my favorite oils including jojoba. An ingredient that works wonders to soothe my dry skin.
Top Korean Beauty Products For A Glass Skin In Winter As Well
Description: This balm helps remove makeup, excess sebum and impurities without leaving your skin dry. A spatula is provided so you never have to dip your fingers into the product. It is recommended to apply this balm on dry skin with some water and then rinse with warm water.
My thoughts: This balm is truly incredible and I know it is a product I will continue to repurchase. I try to only buy products that have outstanding reviews and this product had almost all positive reviews. It did an excellent job of removing my makeup and was a great first step to my double cleanse. I saw that this balm was so effective that my skin was clean when I came to my second cleansing. It is another product that contains some of the best oils, making it perfect for instant makeup and impurity removal.
Description: Yoon added this product to my morning cleansing regimen and the second step of my evening double cleansing. She recommended this sulfate-free, low-pH cleanser to help protect my skin barrier and keep it hydrated.
My thoughts: This cleanser was very soothing on my skin and gentle whether used morning or night. Since I have dry skin, my skin tends to dry out after applying cleanser. I am happy to report that this is not the case with this cleanser and I highly recommend it to anyone with a dry skin type.
Korean Beauty Products That Will Give You Glass Skin
Description: This exfoliator is designed to help reveal smoother, brighter skin by gently removing dead skin cells and excess sebum. It is intended to be used only a few times a week.
My thoughts: I am a fan of this exfoliator compared to other exfoliants I have used in the past. It was gentle and left my face feeling super moisturized. I only used this twice a week in my evening routine to avoid over-exfoliating. The only drawback was the pungent smell; It wasn’t as nice as other products in my routine. However, this is to be expected when a product does not use ingredients that make the product smell sweet, which I think is a good thing.
Explanation: This was another recommendation from Yoon. This toner should only be used three times a week instead of daily. “It’s gentle enough for daily use, but every three days is a good amount for you,” she explains. It tones the skin and gently exfoliates to leave the skin looking bright and radiant.
My Thoughts: Since I am used to daily toners, I thought it was fascinating to use this toner three times a week. However, I found that my skin did not feel dry at all (as it did before) when I used it less frequently. I apply this toner with a cotton swab and pat it gently on my skin to get instant results.

Description: This essence contains 96% snail secretion filtrate to help repair skin and restore skin elasticity. “Snail secretion filtrate is used in many Korean skin care products for its soothing and restorative benefits on the skin,” says Kinder.
My thoughts: I was quite apprehensive about trying this essence at first because I was wondering if the mucin would leave a sticky feeling on my face. Luckily it wasn’t gooey and I instantly felt super moisturizing. The reviews I read initially praised this essence highly, which made my decision-making process much easier.
Description: This is one of the most sought-after products by Peach & Lily due to their ability to give you glass-like skin. “This serum has everything from soothing ingredients to antioxidants, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and moisturizers,” says Yoon. She suggested I use one to three pumps of this serum in the morning and evening.
My thoughts: One of my goals this month was to achieve a glassy skin look, and this serum definitely helped me achieve that goal. I could see a radiant reflection on my skin every time I used it and I was overwhelmed with compliments. It felt very lightweight and gave an overall brightness to my skin.

Description: This mask is said to revitalize dull-looking skin with its soothing and radiance-enhancing ingredients, including rice, oatmeal, and honey extract.
My thoughts: I’ve used a face mask once a week in my evening routine for the past month. In my opinion, Dr. There is no other mask that can be compared to the mask produced by Althea. First of all, K-Beauty face masks provide a fun and simple experience compared to what I’ve used in the past.
