5-minute Makeup Routine For Busy Mornings – I have 3 kids to juggle in the morning so I never have more than 5 minutes to do my makeup. I have my routine down so thought I’d share it with you busy moms. Many of you wonder how I have time to put on makeup and juggle the kids, but the truth is that I can do all this very quickly and touch all the important areas. Most of the time I end up applying half in the car at traffic lights; you gotta do what you gotta do!
The first step to looking refreshed and good is to have an even skin tone. For this, I use my favorite Estee Lauder foundation. This is a full coverage foundation that literally erases the things you need to cover on your face. The little brush I use is my favorite and well worth the investment. But, if you don’t want to buy that brush, there is a foundation brush included in the set I’ve linked below 😉

The second step is to cover any under eye circles. For this I use my MAC concealer and if needed a touch of my bobbi brown concealer. I apply both with my finger. Obviously, if I have time, I would use a brush…

The third step is your eyebrows. If I don’t fill in my brows every day I feel bare. For those of you who have great brows, you can skip this step… I’m jealous. This is my least favorite thing to do, but I still do it. Your brows are like the curtains that frame your face and I like nice and full curtains haha. I use the angled brush from this set that I linked below and a mix of the powders from this compact in the soft brown shade. If I have time to add a little extra shape, I’ll use this pencil also in the soft brown shade. It has a handy dandy brush on one end and a fin tip on the other end perfect for filling.
The fourth step is to put on a little mascara. Just swipe on a coat or two and you’re good to go. Something is better than nothing and will make you look less tired 😉 I’m using this Maybelline mascara that came in my February Bless Box.
The fifth step is to add some check color. I’ve been using Nars Orgasm or Superorgasm lately. Both are very popular colors that seem to look great on a ton of different skin tones. The brush I use is also included in that brush set linked below.
The sixth and final step is to swipe on some colored lip gloss. I have a whole drawer full of glosses, because I like to mix and layer. Most of the time though, I don’t have the luxury of playing around with it much and reach for this one (pink) or this one (bourgeois).

All this can be achieved in less than 5 minutes, especially once you get the hang of it. I keep my blush, concealer, and lip color in a small makeup bag in my purse so I can just do it in the car. I also keep this eyeliner in my purse if I have extra time with a red light, but it’s definitely a must-have for a date night, etc.
I recently bought this 18 piece brush set for under $40 and I absolutely love it. It’s a lot of money and comes in a travel pack to keep things organized. For this tutorial you would only use the blush brush, the brow brush and the angled brush to fill in the brows.

Before applying any makeup, prioritize a simple yet effective skin care routine. Cleanse your face thoroughly and follow with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. This step ensures a smooth canvas for makeup application and boosts overall skin health.
Instead of spending too much time on a full face routine, focus on accentuating specific features. Enhance your eyes with lengthening mascara and a touch of eyeliner, or highlight your lips with a natural-looking lip color. Highlight your best features while keeping the overall look fresh and understated.
For busy women, time is of the essence. By adopting time-saving makeup techniques, you can achieve a put-together look without sacrificing valuable minutes from your schedule.
The minimalist approach is perfect for those who prefer a quick and easy routine. Apply a light foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone. Use a cream blush that can double as a lip color, adding a pop of color to your cheeks and lips. Finish with a coat of mascara and groomed brows for a natural yet polished look.

O Streamline your beauty routine, invest in multipurpose products that fulfill multiple functions. Opt for a tinted moisturizer with SPF, which combines hydration, sun protection and lightweight coverage in one step. Similarly, choose a lip and cheek stain that adds color to both areas effortlessly. By using versatile products, you can simplify your makeup collection while saving time and effort.
The eyes are often the focal point of a makeup look. To create a quick eye makeup look, choose neutral shadows that can be easily blended with your fingertips. Applying a light shimmer to the center of the lids adds a touch of glamour. Complete the look by curling your lashes and applying mascara. These simple steps will open up your eyes and make them look bright and refreshed.
Efficiency is key when it comes to a busy woman’s beauty routine. By simplifying your routine and optimizing your products and techniques, you can save valuable time while still looking your best.
A messy makeup collection can lead to wasting unnecessary time looking for products. Take a few minutes to sort and organize your makeup stash. Sort items into categories and designate specific storage spaces for each category. That way, you’ll have easy access to your daily essentials without the hassle of rummaging through a disorganized mess.

Instead of overwhelming yourself with a wide range of products, simplify your routine by focusing on the essentials. Invest in versatile, high-quality products that meet multiple needs. When applying makeup, opt for techniques that save time, even if they give excellent results. Use your fingers to blend cream products like foundation, blush and eyeshadow. This eliminates the need for brushes and speeds up the application process. Also, consider using makeup brushes designed for efficient and precise application, allowing you to achieve a flawless finish in less time.

When your schedule is full, it’s common for makeup to fade or wear off. Combat this by incorporating a refreshing face mist or spray into your routine. A quick spritz can revitalize your makeup, giving your skin a natural glow and ensuring it stays put all day. Choose a mist with moisturizing properties to keep your skin fresh and radiant.
